Data annotation jobs in Nairobi: build the ground truth AI learns from
Join a Nairobi team that labels images, video, LiDAR, audio and text for AI companies worldwide. We train you, pay you during training and give you a clear path from annotator to specialist, reviewer and project lead.
- Paid training
- Nairobi and remote roles
- No fees to apply, ever
Our hiring standard is our clients’ quality guarantee.
Machine learning teams trust InitLabel with the data that decides how their models behave. That trust is earned one label at a time, by people who are trained on the task, measured against gold-standard answers and supported by reviewers who care about getting it right.
So we hire for attention, curiosity and honesty before experience. If you notice the pedestrian half-hidden behind a truck, or ask a question instead of guessing, you will do well here.

Before you apply
Do I need experience in AI or data annotation?
No, not for entry-level roles. We teach you everything in paid training. What matters most is attention to detail, reliability and willingness to learn.
Is training really paid?
Yes. Once you pass the skills assessment and accept an offer, you are paid for every day of training and calibration.
Can I work remotely?
Some language and LLM roles are remote within Kenya. Most annotation roles are on-site in Nairobi, because many clients require a secure, supervised environment.
What happens after I apply?
We reply to every applicant within 10 working days. If shortlisted, you receive a link to the skills assessment, followed by a short interview.
How do you protect client data?
Everyone signs a confidentiality agreement and is trained on data privacy under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019. Work happens only in approved tools and workspaces.
